It was a fun a light experience to watch a musical place. Nice that a good friend invited us to watch the preview of Aladdin before it will be shown to the public. Held at St. Cecilia’s Hall in St. Scholastica’s College, Malate Manila. Aladdin is about a carefree boy and very respectful to his mother. Found a magical lamp because of his so-called ‘uncle’ and left him the dessert alone until he freed the Genie of the Lamp, brought him home and the story continues. The script writer made a twist to the original story of Aladdin from what we normally knew. Even the name of the princess was changed from Princess Jasmine to Princess Mona. Here are some clips from the play

Had an opportunity to attend the Preview Art Fair 2014 at The Link, Makati.  Preview Art Fair is part of the onging Art Fair Philippines which opened on February 20 and will last until February 23, 2014.  Organized by Preview Magazine, it’s a fashion art live installations of three of the most talented people in the Philippines: Rajo Laurer, Nikki Luna and Leeroy New.

It’s a great experience to witnessed the live installation. Given only 1 hour to present, the output were tremendously beautiful, truly world class.

Aside from the fashion Art show, artworks of various well known sculptors, designers, painters, etc are on display at the parking lot, turned gallery, of The Link.

It was an afternoon of fun filled baking activities that comes with the smell of chocolates, apple, and cinnamon being baked in the oven. I had the opportunity to attend The Burp Society’s baking class at The Maya Kitchen last September 7. I joined Burp Society because i love discovering new taste of food while having the opportunity of photographing it and at the same time, gaining new friends. I know little of baking though i did not take any formal schooling. I just observed my mom everytime she bakes desserts/cakes

Each participants were given the recipes of what will be discussed during the course.

must-have kitchenware ~ KitchenAid

The first one and half hour were discussions and demonstrations on how to bake chocolate chip cookies, apple pie, chocolate cupcakes and creme puff by Chef Rory Subida. She also gave tips and trivia on baking.

The first one that we got to taste were the bite size chocolate chip cookies.

After the demonstrations, it was time for us to do the 2 recipes (Chocolate cupcakes and apple pie). We were grouped into 4, each have 5 members.

The mixer was turned on, some were busy creaming the butter while others were prepareing the crust. Everyone were enjoying what they are doing.

As soon as the food came out of the oven, all of us began plating our baked goodies.

Truly, this is one group and activity worth joining. Congratulations Mhel and Ken of CertifiedFoodies and The Burp Society. *thumbs up

I had the privelaged to attend the instameet preview of Da Vinci ~ The Genius at The Mind Museum last August 28 through IGersManila. The instameet preview is attended to by bloggers, fellow IGersManila, collaborators (#TheColl) and other instagramers. The invitation was actually cool. Each guest received a mask which serves as an invitation.
